A short history of the architecture at Talis Park

The Naples design boom of the past was built with one architectural style in mind – Mediterranean. There wasn’t a building going up that didn’t feature barrel tile roofs and stucco finish on the walls. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy the look of a home in the Mediterranean style, but I will admit that a community of Mediterranean homes whose only difference is paint color isn’t going to knock my socks off. It’s also true that in the early days of Talis Park, before it was even called Talis Park in fact, all the homes going up were of the Mediterranean style.
It wasn’t until the aftermath of the housing market crash of 2011 that Kitson & Partners took a hard look at the Talis Park development and its potential residents – the baby boomers. These new retirees were active, unique, and looking for something different. The Kitson team took the time to accurately understand what people were looking for, and Talis Park is the result. A golf community like no other, with a course both beautiful and challenging. A fantastic variety of homes to choose from in architectural styles like Spanish Eclectic, Colonial, Italian, and Caribbean. An inviting clubhouse with a casual dress code within a community with great residents. Talis Park is a community that doesn’t dictates, it listens.
